How to check an answer

The answer reads well. That is the moment to check it. Most AI mistakes are caught by a short list of checks, done every time.

Is it accurate?

  • Every quote matches the document word for word.
  • Clause and section numbers are right, and none has been invented.
  • Defined terms are read the way the document defines them.
  • Every case, statute or clause it cites exists and says what it claims.

Is it complete?

  • Every section was covered, including schedules and order forms.
  • Protections you would expect but cannot find are listed as missing.
  • Terms the document only refers to, such as terms on a website, were found and reviewed separately.

Are the dates and numbers right?

  • Term, renewal and notice periods are correct.
  • Automatic renewals and cancellation windows are flagged.
  • Fees, caps and credits match the document.

Is the judgment yours?

  • You have read the key clauses yourself: liability, indemnity, term, termination, data and payment.
  • Risk ratings reflect your organization's position rather than a general view.
  • You have noted what the AI did and what you checked, for your own file.

In plain terms

Ask the tool two follow-up questions every time: "What did you leave out?" and "Which point are you least sure of?" Then check those first.
