Disclosures

Last updated: October 27, 2026

This page explains how ProvisoIQ earns money outside product sales, how we use AI in our own material, and what our testing statements mean. Proviso Inc., doing business as ProvisoIQ, publishes the Site.

No paid placement

No one pays to influence which AI model, tool or vendor we recommend, rank or compare. Model comparison pages carry no advertising and no affiliate links, and we do not accept advertising from AI model providers or legal AI vendors.

Affiliate links

Some links to books and general desk tools are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Pages with affiliate links say so near the top of the page. We link to Bookshop.org first for books.

As an Amazon Associate, ProvisoIQ earns from qualifying purchases.

Referral rewards

Buyers who refer a colleague receive product credit when the colleague's purchase completes, and the colleague receives a first-purchase discount. Anyone who shares a referral link publicly must say that they receive a reward. Section 9 of our Terms of Use and Sale sets out the program.

Sponsorships

Where a newsletter issue or page carries a sponsor, it is labeled "Sponsored" and the sponsor has no say in our content. We do not accept sponsors that sell AI models or legal AI tools.

AI-generated voiceover

The narration in our videos is generated by AI using a stock synthetic voice. It is not the voice of a real person, and each video says so at the start.

How we use AI in our own material

We use AI tools when drafting and testing our material. Every Product and page is reviewed and edited by a person before publication, and we test Products as described below.

What "tested" means

When a Product says it was tested on a named model, it means we ran its test set of invented documents on that model on the date shown, and the results met our published release standard on that date. Models change, so the update log at https://provisoiq.com/update-log/ shows every retest and its result, and the latest entry governs.

What a time result means

When a page states a time result, it comes from our own timed tests: a reviewer did the test tasks with the Product and without it, and the figure is the median difference across the runs stated, on the model and date stated. Your time will depend on your documents, your tool and how you work.
